Nichole, If you take some more pictures of the house while it's being framed up, maybe I can suggest some simple techniques that might make the house a bit more earthquake resistant. Having designed out in California for years I'm pretty familiar with the techniques. I'm happy to see that plywood is being used and not just simple crossboards. How thick is the plywood? How far apart are they spacing the nails that you are attaching the plywood too? Johnny
